A federal judge on Friday denied a request from former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to move a racketeering case against him from Georgia to Florida. The judge ruled that Meadows did not provide sufficient evidence to support his claim that he would not receive a fair trial in Georgia.

Meadows was indicted in July on charges that he conspired to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. He is accused of pressuring state officials to change the results of the election and of working with other Trump allies to find ways to overturn the results.

Meadows has denied the charges and has said that he will fight the case. His attorneys have argued that the case should be moved to Florida because Meadows lives there and because they believe he would receive a more fair trial in Florida.

The judge rejected Meadows' arguments, saying that he did not provide sufficient evidence to support his claim that he would not receive a fair trial in Georgia. The judge also noted that the case is being prosecuted by the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, which is located in Georgia.

Meadows has the right to appeal the judge's decision. It is unclear whether he will do so.
