Oregon Unlikely to See Aurora Borealis This Week
Updated Forecast Lowers Chances
Aurora Still Visible in Most Northern States
KTVZ - People who stayed up late Friday night hoping to catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis were likely disappointed, as the latest forecast has reduced Oregon's chances of getting to view the northern lights this week.
According to the National Weather Service, the intensity and location of the aurora borealis over North America tonight and tomorrow night is predicted to be less favorable for Oregon than previously anticipated.
While the aurora should still be visible in most of the northern states, including Oregon, the chances of seeing it in Oregon are now considered low.
