Omnicom Advertising Group (OAG) Consolidates Global Agencies

New York, NY — January 27, 2024 — Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) today announced the formation of Omnicom Advertising Group (OAG), a new global organization that will align the company's worldwide creative advertising agencies.

OAG will be led by Troy Ruhanen, former CEO of TBWA Worldwide. The new organization will consolidate Omnicom's creative agencies under one umbrella, bringing together a diverse range of expertise and talent from across the globe.

Aligning Expertise for Greater Impact

The formation of OAG is part of Omnicom's ongoing efforts to streamline its operations and enhance its ability to deliver integrated marketing solutions for clients. By consolidating its creative agencies under one leadership structure, Omnicom aims to:

  • Provide clients with a more seamless and cohesive creative experience.

Structure and Leadership

OAG will be structured similarly to other disciplines within Omnicom, such as Omnicom Media Group and Omnicom PR Group. Ruhanen will report directly to John Wren, Chairman and CEO of Omnicom Group. The new organization will be headquartered in New York City.

Effective Date

The changes announced today will take effect on January 1, 2025. Omnicom is confident that the formation of OAG will strengthen its position as a leading provider of data-inspired creative marketing and sales solutions.
